Cockington ~ Picturesque Devon Village

A thousand miles away from Torquay in atmosphere and character yet less than a mile in reality.

The old Forge, mentioned in the Doomsday Book, now a little shop selling horse brasses.

A pretty little cafe…..

..overlooked by a tiny upstairs window

A personalised thatched roof…

A sneaky peek into someone’s beautiful garden

This one speaks for itself!

The gorgeous gardens of the cafe where we had lunch, serenaded by a piano player

  1. Wow! What beautiful photos of such an incredible place, which looks to my Australian eyes like something straight out of a fairy tale or a dream. As I looked at your photos, I just felt like being a snail slowly munching across the leaves and being transported back in time. This is what I love so much about blogging. That wonderful ability to take off and enjoy someone else’s corner of the globe when I’m unable to get there myself xx Rowena
