So beautiful! The house in the distance, past the rhodies, reminds me of Manderley in “Rebecca.” In the last picture, what are the figures marching along the path? Try as I might, I can’t make them out.
I thought at first they must be some sort of small tree or plant covered up for the winter but I’m not sure – they seem to be on the slabs. That part was cordoned off because the garden has sustained some damage from the storms we’ve had and they are doing some restoration work.
Ooooh. Now I can see that they’ve got plastic of some sort tied over them. Very interesting. I wonder what lies beneath. They look like ladybugs standing on two feet, viewed from behind. I’m looking at their wings down their backs. (Whatever is underneath the covering, I’m pretty sure it won’t turn out to be ladybugs. 😀 )
Would love to visit there someday, and not just to see what these turn out to be. Thanks for sharing!
I like all the photos and especially noticed the trees all have trunks with character. 😀
*sigh* All that greenery is a feast for my eye at this cold and dull time of year in Canada. ❤
We had such a mild winter up until these photos that even the rhododendrons were still in flower. I don’t know what they’ll look like after the last couple of weeks of storms 🙂
I like the last one best. Snow in the distance, lovely 🙂

I like the picture with the little stream, I can almost hear it gurgling.

I love the stream too, and I was amazed to see the rhododendrons still in flower.

B-r-r-r.
Winter has been stand-offish here, but cold and damp now and again and late in arriving….

Is this near your home, Cathy? It looks absolutely gorgeous! I love the old tree! Really really beautiful. What a beautiful part of the country!

Yes, it’s not far away, Val. That tree is amazing. I couldn’t get it all in the photo 🙂
