#FridayBookShare ~ an excellent idea created by Shelley Wilson.
With the weekend approaching it’s the perfect time to seek out new books to read, so Shelley created a Friday Book Share meme to help search for that ideal read.
Anyone can join in. Just answer the following F.R.I.D.A.Y. questions based on the book you’re either currently reading (or listening to, in my case) or have just finished reading. Use the hashtag #FridayBookShare and remember to tag Shelley (@ShelleyWilson72)
First line of the book.
Recruit fans by adding the book blurb.
Introduce the main character using only three words.
Delightful design (add the cover of the book.)

I’ve just finished reading Terry Tyler’s new release The Devil You Know (review to follow)
First line of the book.
On the rare occasions she’d pondered on such a thing, Dora had imagined the moment of her death to be profound, intense, even beautiful – a flash of joyous memory, a vision of God, the face of her beloved mother welcoming her into the next world.
Recruit fans by adding the book blurb.
Every serial killer is someone’s friend, spouse, lover or child….
Young women are being murdered in the Lincolnshire town of Lyndford, where five people fear someone close to them might be the monster the police are searching for.
One of them is right.
Juliet sees an expert’s profile of the average serial killer and realises that her abusive husband, Paul, ticks all the boxes.
Maisie thinks her mum’s new boyfriend seems too good to be true. Is she the only person who can see through Gary’s friendly, sensitive façade?
Tamsin is besotted with her office crush, Jake. Then love turns to suspicion…
Steve is used to his childhood friend, Dan, being a loud mouthed Lothario with little respect for the truth. But is a new influence in his life leading him down a more sinister path?
Dorothy’s beloved son, Orlando, is keeping a secret from her—a chilling discovery forces her to confront her worst fears.
THE DEVIL YOU KNOW is a character-driven psychological drama that will keep you guessing until the very end.
Introduce the main character using only three words.
There isn’t an obvious main character so I’ll go with the first to appear.
Juliet ~ abused, downtrodden, lonely.
Delightful design (add the cover of the book.)
Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)
Fans of well written and characterised dramas, and those who would enjoy a different take on a serial killer story. Not to mention fans of the author!
Your favourite line/scene.
Juliet cried for the dead girl, for those who loved her, and her sadness mixed with grief for herself, and for her own mother, dead for some years now, and how she would have felt if she’d known her daughter would end up getting knocked about by her husband. But her mother was of the upbringing that considered a good marriage the be all and end all of a woman’s life, and twenty-four years ago Paul Tully had seemed like a reasonable if not ideal choice, especially as Juliet was not inundated with offers.
