#FridayBookShare ~ an excellent idea created by Shelley Wilson.
With the weekend approaching it’s the perfect time to seek out new books to read, so Shelley created a Friday Book Share meme to help search for that ideal read.
Anyone can join in. Just answer the following F.R.I.D.A.Y. questions based on the book you’re either currently reading (or listening to, in my case) or have just finished reading. Use the hashtag #FridayBookShare and remember to tag Shelley (@ShelleyWilson72)

My audiobook of the moment is Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
First line of the book.
I love Thursday nights. They have a feel to them that’s outside of time.
Recruit fans by adding the book blurb.
‘Are you happy in your life?’
Those are the last words Jason Dessen hears before the masked abductor knocks him unconscious. Before he wakes to find himself strapped to a gurney, surrounded by strangers in hazmat suits.
Before the man he’s never met smiles down at him and says, ‘Welcome back, my friend.’
In this world he’s woken up to, Jason’s life is not the one he knows. His wife is not his wife. His son was never born. And Jason is not an ordinary college physics professor, but a celebrated genius who has achieved something remarkable. Something impossible.
Is it this world or the other that’s the dream? And even if the home he remembers is real, how can Jason possibly make it back to the family he loves? The answers lie in a journey more wondrous and horrifying than anything he could’ve imagined – one that will force him to confront the darkest parts of himself even as he battles a terrifying, seemingly unbeatable foe.
Introduce the main character using only three words.
Jason Dessen ~ likeable, compelling, flawed.
Delightful design (add the cover of the book.)
Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)
Science fiction and fantasy fans, that’s almost a given, but also anyone who fancies reading or listening (the narrator is really good) to something quite different and original. It’s a love story and thriller as well.
Your favourite line/scene.
The door thunders home, and a massive bolt fires into its housing. It’s quiet. And pitch black – the darkness so instantly pure and unbroken it creates the sensation of spinning.
I stagger towards the nearest wall and put my hands on the metal, just needing to tether myself to something solid as I try to wrap my mind around the idea that I’m actually inside this thing.

Sounds like my kind of book! 🙂
