#FridayBookShare ~ an excellent idea created by Shelley Wilson

With the weekend approaching it’s the perfect time to seek out new books to read, so Shelley created a Friday Book Share meme to help search for that ideal read.

FridayBookShare

Anyone can join in. Just answer the following F.R.I.D.A.Y. questions based on the book you’re either currently reading (or listening to, in my case) or have just finished reading. Use the hashtag #FridayBookShare and remember to tag Shelley (@ShelleyWilson72)

First line of the book.

Recruit fans by adding the book blurb.

Introduce the main character using only three words.

Delightful design (add the cover of the book.)

Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)

Your favourite line/scene.

I’ve just begun to read The Safe Word by Karen Long, a debut serial killer story.

First line of the book.

Eleanor Raven had used the room before but not with the same guy.

Recruit fans by adding the book blurb.

There are rules that every player of every game must abide by, no matter how dangerous the sport.

Toronto has become the backdrop to a macabre set of artistic installations: women kidnapped, tortured and horrifically displayed by a killer with a vision.

Only someone capable of understanding the killer’s creative desire will be able to stop the murders and D I Eleanor Raven is uniquely qualified. Driven by a complex personality she pursues only the facts, only the things she can see, but never casts a judgement.

But she also has a dark and dangerous secret – one that will threaten her very survival.

Introduce the main character using only three words.

Eleanor Raven ~ unique, complex, non-judgemental

Delightful design (add the cover of the book.)

Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)

Fans of gritty crime thrillers headed by a protagonist with a difference.

Your favourite line/scene.

The rules were efficient, succinct and binding. If they were abused or transgressed on any level there would be consequences. Only one individual had ever stepped outside what had been considered acceptable by Eleanor and he was very unlikely to break any rules again. Whatever either party believed in the room, before or during the event, it did not reflect the real Eleanor Raven.
