Can I  go down the middle and say anti-hero 😉

Recommend an underrated book.

The last book you finished?

The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen

Weirdest thing you used as a book mark?

I have quite a pile of book marks so nothing weird I’m afraid, but this is my favourite.

No, unless they’re in really good condition.

Top three favourite genres?

Crime, Thriller, Drama

It would have to be both, they go hand in hand.

Short or long book?

Long (but not too long)

Long or short chapters?

Short and snappy

Name the first three books you think of?

Outlander – because I’ve just watched the first two seasons.

Holy Island – the beginning of a great series

Dead Man’s Blues

Books that make you laugh or cry?

Depends on my mood

Our world or fictional worlds?

Generally speaking, our world

Do you ever judge a book by its cover?

Yes, I suppose I do. It’s the first thing that attracts me to a book

Book to movie or book to TV adaptation?

TV adaptation if it’s a series, otherwise neither.

Series or standalone?

Series

I’ll nominate anyone that wants to have a go 🙂

  1. I really enjoyed reading your thoughts Cathy and unusually as we do tend to be very similar I’ve found a difference. I love used books 😀 xx

  2. I really enjoyed Terry’s version of these, Cathy and now yours too! So different! I buy a lot of second hand books and rarely bother about the cover! It’s great that we all have such different preferences though, isn’t it? I haven’t read any of the books you’ve mentioned except Outlander, but I also like crime fiction best although the most of books I’ve mentioned would probably be best described as literary fiction. My real addictions are good detective series. Ah well, so many books, so little time!

    1. Thanks, Val. Yes, crime fiction would be my choice… if I only had one 😉 I love detective series too, got a few of those on the go. My list grows scarily long.
