Reaching the Top of the world (or so it seemed) ~ Dinas Bran #Photography

I made it. Hubs excused himself three quarters of the way up. Apparently Finn needed a rest!?

After the hike to the base of the hill the path winds back and forth up to the castle.

The last stretch…and it was definitely worth the climb.

The ruins are amazing

And the views are breathtaking

 

This view shows the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (the stream in the sky) that carries the Llangollen canal over the Dee valley. You can walk across but you’d need a very good head for heights. It was featured in this post and gives a better sense of the incredible size of the structure.
