Armed Forces Day June 30th 2018 Held at #Llandudno @ArmedForcesDay

Armed Forces Day is a yearly event to show support and pay tribute to those who have, and do, put their lives on the line. This year the national event was held in Llandudno. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day – sunshine and bright blue skies with a cooling sea breeze which I’m sure those in uniform were grateful for. Here are a few of the highlights.

HMS Somerset in the bay, giving guided tours.

The parade along the promenade.

The incredible Red Arrows

A Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane took to the skies

Manoeuvres on the beach and one of the parachutists

  1. I’m sorry I’m so late in reading this, Cathy. I am still way behind and can’t possibly catch up by reading all past posts, but this one I earmarked for reading. Lovely photos! What an exciting day and wonderful reminder of the sacrifices the men and women in your armed services make each day. As a former Marine wife and mother of two former Coast Guard officers, I understand that the whole family sacrifices time together when their loved one is serving their country. Congratulations to all the military men and women, both past and present, who so bravely and unselfishly served.
