I remember first hearing about goats ability to climb after seeing one stuck in a tree on twitter. I naturally took to YouTube and it blew my mind to see goats scouring up and down mountains, I had no idea they could do that!
I’m fairly certain that everything in Kashmir is breathtaking. I would love to travel there one day. Have you seen photos of Dal lake – which, of course, is redundant since Dal means Lake. It’s so beautiful!
I haven’t seen photos of the lake and must admit, I know little of Kashmir. I believe goats were first brought over to England in Victorian times and a herd have been living and thriving on the Great Orme for around 100 years.
Great photos. Cathy! Goats are amazing animals and so much fun to watch. The little goats we have here are sweet animals and love contact with pe ople. 💕🤗💕
When we were in Scotland near the bridge over to Skye there were road sign saying beware of feral goats. We actually saw one with great curly horns cropping the grass on the side of the road. There were other goats high up on the hillside.
These are great captures.

They are incredible animals, some I’ve seen on wildlife programmes actually defy belief.

Thanks, Michelle. Little goats are lovely, I wouldn’t want to get too close to these though! Not with those horns…. 😁🤗

They’re probably used to people (hopefully!) The Kashmiri goats are feral and more or less left to their own devices.
