Hugh has started a fun new Weekend Music Share feature onHugh’s Views and News This week’s theme is songs that failed to chart or songs that may not be very well known.
Tomorrow Never Dies ~ Surrender by K.D. Lang was replaced as the opening song to the 1997 Bond film by a version by Sheryl Crowe. Lang’s version, which for me was the far better one and more ‘Bond like’ was relegated to the end credits. Have you heard this version? What do you think?
I’m a big fan of K. D.Lang, but this one is a new one on me, Cathy. Liked it very much. And just got to love the open credits to Bond Movies. They are instantly recognisable.

I had never heard this version before!! I absolutely LOVE KD Lang. I once read that her version was chosen as one of the top two versions of “Hallelujah.” There are some incredible versions out there that I thought, “yeah, right.” And then I heard hers. It’s not the best of two, it is the best. I was blown away!

I’ve always loved this song and Lang’s performance. Don’t know why it didn’t do better.

I agree, I love her version of Hallelujah….definitely the best I’ve heard. She’s the best female vocalist around.
