Hugh has started a fun new Weekend Music Share feature on Hugh’s Views and News. This week’s theme is sharing a favourite song that was a first for the artist. Wuthering Heights was Kate Bush’s debut hit single, released in 1978, when she was just nineteen years old.
I didn’t know what about Kate Bush! I loved this! Thanks for sharing. I think I’d rather listen to music on the weekends; this is a good time for this meme.

I had no idea that this was the first number one for a female artist of a self-written song, Cathy. I always remember thinking she looked quite scary in the video. Such a classic song, though. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I didn’t know either, Hugh until I did a bit of research. Scary 😁 yes, I can see that…she got the essence of the character.

It’s lovely to see this old video again Cathy and I’ve always loved the song. I didn’t realise she was the first female artist to reach number 1 in the UK with a self-written song either. Hope you’re having a great weekend and much love to you and Finn from all of us here 🤗🐾💖🐾 xxx

My brother’s been reading Wuthering Heights for the last couple of weeks and every time he’s mentioned it I’ve had this song running in my head on a loop! Sounds better in real life than in my head… 😉

I can’t imagine even attempting to sing this song…except in my head 😁
