#WeekendMusicShare ~ Take On Me by a-ha #Music #Video
I’m joining in with the Weekend Music Share feature on Hugh’s Views and News again this week with a song and video from the 80s.
Although the 80’s wasn’t my favourite decade, there were several songs that I really enjoyed, especially this novel video for Take On Me by a-ha. Books and reading are two of my favourite things and the idea of a falling for a fictional character, and being taken into his world, really appealed to me.
The fact that Morten Harket was easy on the eye didn’t hurt either! The video won in several categories at the MTV Music Video awards and was nominated for two more.
The first version of the song had different lyrics and was re-written in 1984 and, with the reworked video and instumentals, was released in 1985. It peaked at No 1 in the US and No2 in the UK.
I remember both the song and video. In fact, I remember dancing to this song back in my nightclubbing days, Cathy. I’m sure the group also made a bit of a come back a few years ago. The song is a lovely story which would make a brilliant eerie movie.
For some reason, I didn’t get the pingback request for this post. However, I do know there have been issues recently all over WordPress with pingbacks not working.
Oh, the pingback not working is not your fault, Cathy. I checked your link, too, and it works perfectly. I just never got the pingback notification from WordPress. It’s strange, but sometimes they can come through weeks after the post was published.
A beautiful song and video Cathy, I loved it when it was first released and still love it now 🙂💜🎶 Hope you’re having a peaceful weekend and much love to you and Finn from all of us here 🤗💖🐕 xxx
Great song and the video was really memorable too.

It would make a great movie! Sorry about the pingback, it must be a WordPress glitch, the link works ok from my post.
