Catching up after a week away + Barter Books #Books #Reading

We’ve had a lovely week in Northumberland with friends. A visit to Barter Books is a must for me and, even though the others aren’t bookish, they were impressed. Having said that they didn’t want to stay and browse too long so I only added four books to my reading pile. I could spend a whole day and a fortune in there.

It’s an incredible place, converted from an old railway station. There are plenty of places to sit and read, have food, coffee or your beverage of choice, and generally relax. Not forgetting the countless shelves of interesting books to browse through.

I had little to no internet time while away, so thank you very much for the shares and tweets this past week 😘

My shamefully small haul…The Smoke Jumper by Nicholas Evans, I’ve only read The Horse Whisperer so hopefully this will be as good.

Scrublands by Chris Hammer, Free Fall and Voodoo River both by Robert Crais.

  1. What a wonderful place to visit Cathy, I could spend many happy hours browsing and reading by the cosy fire 🙂📚 So glad you had a lovely time away. We’re still on our break and will be back on Wednesday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and much love from our house to yours 🤗💖🐕 xxx
