This little chap seemed quite happy to pose for the camera while delighting us with his song, as we enjoyed an afternoon cup of coffee on Amble harbour. He was still there when we left. Hopefully someone else got to enjoy watching him.
Thank you! Not super special but I do use one with a couple of different lenses. And the starling cooperated very nicely and didn’t move about too much 😉
Beautiful! I saw this type of bird for the first time ever on a subway platform in Berlin, of all places, and I was enchanted by its coloring and details (and its tameness). Great pics!
Strangely, there are a bunch pine grosbeak birds that have come over from Russia to eat the rowan-berries. There is an unusually large amount of these berries this year and birders here are excited about them, it seems.
We have a ton of Starlings here, they’re actually an invasive species. But they’re pretty. They like to fight over the suet cakes I put out, I hear them scree-ing at each other in my yard, lol. 🙂
Wow, that’s so cool!

Thanks 🙂 They’re all over here at the moment feasting on the berries left by the flowers on the palm trees.
