Welcome to my stop on the blog tour for New Beginnings at Wynter House, courtesy of Rachel’s Random Resources.

My Thoughts

New Beginnings at Wynter House picks up where Christmas at Wynter House left off. The village residents, plus Neva and her family are still staying at the big house due to the floods but the water is receding and things are moving along at a steady pace with everyone getting ready to return to their daily lives.

It’s all change for Neva and her parents as they pack up ready for their move to Merriment Bay. Neva is about to get her salon up and running and wondering what her best friend Jo will be doing…giving her relationship another shot or moving to Merriment Bay and joining Neva at the salon.

A family secret is revealed when Adam and Rafe confront Olivia about someone they saw. Both feel guilty when coincidentaly, Olivia is taken ill after a lighthearted warning and transported to hospital. Most of the guests at Wynter House heave a secret sigh of relief that Olivia will be absent for a few days. With her haughty attitude and overbearing nature she doesn’t endear herself to anyone, much less Hazel, the nurse sent home with her.

There’s lots of drama going on, especially with the odious Amelia who has arrived to help Rafe build his business venture, and that’s not the only thing she’s working on. So much so that Neva is quite worried that she might prove to be a threat.

Adam’s days of flirting with every eligible female may just be coming to an end, much to his and everyone else’s surprise.

Another lovely read by Emily Harvale incorporating likeable characters, serious issues, romance, friendships and family dynamics.

About the Book

The New Year brings unexpected revelations at Wynter House.

Neva Grey’s Christmas brought several surprises. Now a shocking secret has life-changing consequences for the Wynters, as the New Year brings revelations … and relatives to Wynter House.
It also brings Hazel Smart and Amelia Goodbody. And it’s not just Adam and Rafe Wynter who are pleased Hazel and Amelia have come to stay. Olivia Wynter will enjoy bossing nurse Hazel around and she also makes it clear Amelia – who is handling the marketing for Rafe’s new business venture – is far more suited to be her grandson’s girlfriend than Neva will ever be.
Whilst Amelia is ensconced at Wynter House, Neva is busy with her new hair and beauty salon in Merriment Bay. Perhaps she should enlist her niece, Sasha’s help because just when she thought she had found the love of her life, old secrets, ghosts from the past, and new arrivals might shatter all her dreams.
At least she has her best friend, Jo Duncan to lean on. But newly single, Jo is determined to have some fun, both at Wynter House and in Merriment Bay. And so is Adam Wynter.

This is book two in the Wyntersleap series but it can be read as a standalone. The Wyntersleap series is interlinked with the Merriment Bay series and several characters appear in both series.
