Today I have an extract from Trust in You as part of the blog tour organised by Rachel’s Random Resources.

‘Why not?’ he asks me nosily, shifting to give me his full attention. ‘Have you never—’
‘Can we change the subject?’ I ask a little too brightly, cutting him off.
‘Sure.’ He grins. Oh God, how much more embarrassing can this get? ‘You know, a lot of guys find that a real turn on,’ Dan says smoothly, watching me astutely. I almost choke on my beer. Ok, I was wrong before, it could get more embarrassing.
‘I don’t know what you mean,’ I mutter, trying to cut the conversation dead.
‘Yeah you do.’ Dan grins, teasing me, he’s completely unperturbed by my tone. He’s making sex-eyes at me and I feel like I’m about to combust. I rapidly redirect my gaze to the bottle in my hand. ‘Well if you need any help with that, you just let me know,’ he offers. I swallow with a gulp and look at him sharply.
‘Pardon? Need help with what exactly?’ Surely I’ve misunderstood? Dan leans an arm on the back of the sofa and smiles in a way that implies he’s joking, but his eyes tell me he’s serious.
‘Popping your cherry, sweetheart,’ he says confidently.
My mouth drops open and my cheeks flame. ‘I can’t believe you just said that.’
Dan laughs and shrugs it off, but he’s looking at me in a way that’s sending my nerves into turmoil. His eyes flick down over my exposed bra strap where my T-shirt is designed to hang off one shoulder, so I pull my top up self-consciously.
‘Anything for a friend.’ The bastard is acting like he’s teasing me, but I can’t be sure and wonder if I should just walk out.
About the Book
From the moment she met him, Ella Peterson had questions. As always, though, she’s too shy to ask.
Older and sexy as hell, mysterious Adam Brook soon sweeps sheltered Ella off her feet; but is he as perfect as he appears to be, or is there more to him than he’s telling her?
Ella’s world has already turned upside down after moving from England to rural Kansas. She and her sisters were hoping for a more secure future, but instead find that life can be tough when jobs are scarce and the stakes often higher than anticipated.
When events spiral out of Ella’s control, she learns the person she needs to rely on most is herself and her instincts on who to trust in the future.
It’s just that her instincts are screaming at her to trust Adam; it’s what he tells her that makes that a problem.
