#SundayStills ~ Monthly Colour Challenge #Lava

Welcome to the Sunday Stills Monthly Colour Challenge hosted by Terry Webster Schrandt.

MonthlyColourChallenge

The challenge this week is Lava (black-brown, black, and/or orange)

The first images are from the remains of Rougemont castle in Exeter. Rougemont or Exeter Castle was originally a Roman Legionary Fortress, then morphed into a Saxon fortified burh. It’s known locally for the trial and conviction of the ‘four Devon witches’. They were the last individuals to be executed for witchcraft in England.

SS6

This memorial was in a country park we visited.

My friend and I were visiting another friend who lived outside Boston. This was taken by the Nubble Lighthouse.

SS5

One of the spectacular sunsets we had at our previous house.

SS9

According to The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall, Jasper is known as ‘the supreme nurturer. It sustains and supports during times of stress, and brings tranquility and wholeness.’ Red Jasper is said to be aligned to the root chakra.
