Welcome To the Sunday Stills feature, hosted by Terri Webster Schrandt.
This week’s theme is glass and the first image is the impressive structure which is the Glasgow Botanic Gardens. I visited a few years ago with some blogging friends when one of them was kind enough to invite us to stay with her.
I love stained glass windows, especially in churches.

More old windows…
The water in these photos was so still, and with the reflection, looked quite glassy.

Enjoying the late afternoon shade during the heatwave we had this summer.
These glass enclosed cabinets are a small part of the museum dedicated to Grace Darling and her family, situated in an RNLI building in Bamburgh, Northumberland. Founded in 1938, it tells the story of two people who risked their lives to save others, shipwrecked in a fierce storm, who would certainly have perished if not for the bravery of Grace and her father.

Beautiful!

My goodness, but we had the same ideas, Cathy! Love it! The wine glass in the garden, the glassy reflections…Love the Glasgow arboretum, really looks stunning! I always love stained glass–you’d think I would have a pic or two myself.

We did have similar ideas 😀 I love the way water can look so calm and glassy sometimes, almost like you could walk across it.

Beautiful images, Cathy. I’ve been too busy to visit many blogs lately, but I hope to be circulating more again during the autumn. I share your love of stained glass windows and I love old glass too. These photos show a wonderful range of glass art.

Beautiful. THe first one reminded me of a photo I could’ve added from a Chihuly display when we were in Vegas. I may go see if I can find it and add it.
