Welcome to the Sunday Stills Monthly Collour Challenge, hosted by Terri Webster Schrandt.
The prompt this month is Leather/Shades of Brown.
This is Shakespeare’s house in Stratford on Avon
Lots of brown shades can be found in birds’ feathers.

The bumble bee seemed like he needed a rest and the walking stick was perfect. I don’t know who carved the tree stump, we saw it on a walk round Lymm Dam.

A view of Alnwick Castle in Northumberland, one of the filming locations for the Harry Potter movies.
Not sure what this butterfly is, it was a new visitor to our garden this summer. Puppy Flynn almost blending in with the chair.

So many lovely photos! I love them all.

Great choice of browns! Somehow all that neat paving outside Shakespeare’s house looks all wrong, though – you’d think they could have come up with something that looked a bit more authentic…

Thank you 🙂 Yes that is a bit jarring, I supose it’s because that area was pedestrianised.

You have delivered a wonderful set of browns, Cathy! Both nature and human architectures sure lend themselves to how much brown we really see in our world. Love that tree stump!

Thanks, Terri. Someone must have been in a quirky mood when they carved the tree stump 😉

Thanks, Val. Alnwick Castle is some place! Flynn can no longer fit on that chair, he takes up the whole of the sofa when he stretches out.

Haha, that’s the way with dogs, isn’t it?

I love all of your choices for this week, but I really like the composition of the last one of the fence and grass.
