Haileybrook, a beautiful village in the peaceful Cotswolds countryside, is most people’s idea of heaven on earth.
Born and raised in this small slice of paradise, Elle Bea can’t wait to leave.
It should be easy, but every time she packs her bags for exotic adventures, old loves and loyalties pull her back.
Will Elle be forced to forget her dreams of far-flung places and epic romance, or can she grab one last chance to have it all?
An uplifting, romantic story about friends, family and the relationships that make a place a home.
We meet Elle Bea the day after her 23rd birthday, secreted in a hidden corner of the library and wandering the streets of Florence in her imagination, immersed in E.M. Forster’s Room With A View. Elle, just returned from university, has never been abroad and can’t wait to leave the quiet confines of Haileybrook for a European tour with her friend, Serena, in the summer. But life can be anything but straightforward and often things don’t go to plan.

Welcome to the Beach Reads Book Club…where love is just a page away…
When Lottie Watt is unceremoniously booted out of her uptight book club for not following the rules, she decides to throw the rulebook out the window and start her own club – one where conversation, gin and cake take precedent over actually having read the book!
Lottie Watt has had her fill of the regimented book club run by Eve. It was like being back at school. And she certainly doesn’t appreciate being quizzed on why she hasn’t had chance to read the designated (by Eve) book. Throwing caution to the winds, she decides to start her own book club with lighter reads and a more relaxed atmosphere. She was joined by Gira and Heidi, two other now ex members who also wanted more romantic, fun reading.

Lilian Girvan has been a single mother for three years – ever since her husband died in a car accident. One mental breakdown and some random suicidal thoughts later, she’s just starting to get the hang of this widow thing. She can now get her two girls to school, show up to work, and watch TV like a pro. The only problem is she’s becoming overwhelmed with being underwhelmed.
I’m very late with this review as the book decided to hide in the many shelves and stacks around the house. Glad I found it though! Thoroughly enjoyable.

Sydney Durand, the quirky yet lovable heroine of the French Twist series, is back for one final instalment in a very special novella.
As the wife of a gorgeous and romantic Frenchman and the mother of the most angelic boy ever, Sydney is living a life of sheer perfection. She’s gone through quite a bit to achieve this charmed life, and now nothing is going to bring her down. Or so she thinks.
French Roast rounds out the French Twist series, set a few years after the end of French Fry and Sidney is back…full on. Becoming a mother has failed to relax the over anxiousness and her slight(ish) neurotic tendencies are still very much alive and well. Continue reading
