⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fallon Swift has spent all her life preparing for this moment. No longer can she stand by whilst her fellow Magicks are hunted by the fanatical Purity Warriors or rounded up and experimented on by the government.

Fallon must follow her destiny to restore the magical shield that once protected them all. The final battle has begun…

Twenty years ago when a deadly pandemic was unleashed upon the world, destroying civilisation, a child was conceived. She, who would come to be known as The One, was destined to fulfil a prophecy and lead the light against the dark.

On the shield, one of seven forged in the timeless past to hold back the dark, fell a single drop of blood.

So the shield weakened, and the dark, spider-patient, waited as the decades passed, and the wound spread under grass and ground.

And on the last day of what had been, a good man, in all innocence, broke the shield open. The dark rewarded him with a deadly infection, one that would pass from man to wife, from parent to child, from stranger to stranger.

Blackthorn by Terry Tyler ~ The UK: Year 2139 and a City in Turmoil #Dystopian @TerryTyler4 #TuesdayBookBlog

Author: Terry Tyler

Kindle Edition

Category: Dystopian, Post Apocalyptic, Psychological, Thriller, Book Review

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The UK, year 2139

One hundred and fifteen years ago, a mysterious virus wiped out ninety-five per cent of humanity.

Blackthorn, the largest settlement in England, rose from the ashes of the devastated old world. It is a troubled city, where the workers live in crude shacks, and make do with the worst of everything.

It is a city of violent divisions, crime, and an over-populated jail block―until a charismatic traveller has a miraculous vision and promises to bring hope back to the people’s lives.

Although Blackthorn is tied to the Project Renova series is easily read as a stand alone. Enough of the backstory is included as we meet the inhabitants of the city, that the reader has a good flavour of the previous stories.

#GuestPost from Grant Price #Author of By The Feet Of Men #Dystopian @MekongLights #TuesdayBookBlog

I’m pleased to welcome Grant Price with a guest post. Grant’s second novel, By The Feet Of Men, a dystopian story set in Germany, has just been published. Here’s the synopsis from Goodreads…

WANTED: Men and women willing to drive through the valley of the shadow of death. The world’s population has been decimated by the Change, a chain reaction of events triggered by global warming. In Europe, governments have fallen, cities have crumbled and the wheels of production have ground to a halt. The Alps region, containing most of the continent’s remaining fresh water, has become a closed state with heavily fortified borders. Survivors cling on by trading through the Runners, truck drivers who deliver cargo and take a percentage. Amid the ruins of central Germany, two Runners, Cassady and Ghazi, are called on to deliver medical supplies to a research base deep in the Italian desert, where scientists claim to be building a machine that could reverse the effects of the Change. Joining the pair are a ragtag collection of drivers, all of whom have something to prove. Standing in their way are starving nomads, crumbling cities, hostile weather and a rogue state hell-bent on the convoy’s destruction. And there’s another problem: Cassady is close to losing his nerve.

Legacy (Project Renova Book 4) by Terry Tyler #PostApocalyptic #Dystopian @TerryTyler4 #TuesdayBookBlog

Author: Terry Tyler

Kindle Edition

Category: Post Apocalyptic, Dystopian, Book Review

‘Out of all the death and destruction has come the freedom to be who we really are.’

A hundred years after the world was devastated by the bat fever virus, the UK is a country of agricultural communities where motherhood is seen as the ideal state for a woman, new beliefs have taken over from old religions, and the city of Blackthorn casts a threatening shadow over the north of England. Legacy travels backwards in time to link up with the characters from Tipping Point, Lindisfarne and UK2.

I’ve really been looking forward to finding out what happened to my favourite, and not so favourite, characters from the previous three books.

Kindle Edition

Category: Post Apocalyptic, Dystopian, Book Review

The pace steps up in this final instalment of the Project Renova trilogy, as the survivors’ way of life comes under threat.

Two years after the viral outbreak, representatives from UK Central arrive at Lindisfarne to tell the islanders about the shiny new city being created down south.  UK2 governor Verlander’s plan is simple: all independent communities are to be dissolved, their inhabitants to reside in approved colonies.  Alas, those who relocate soon suspect that the promises of a bright tomorrow are nothing but smoke and mirrors, as great opportunities turn into broken dreams, and dangerous journeys provide the only hope of freedom.

Meanwhile, far away in the southern hemisphere, a new terror is gathering momentum…

UK2, the third full length book in the Project Renova series, indicates a change is coming sooner rather than later with a visit from a UK Central contingent.
