#SundayStills ~ Having Fun With Photo #Editing #DigitalArt #Photography

Terri’s theme for Sunday Stills this week is having fun with photo editing

SundayStills

I mostly use Fotor, there are lots of effect options with a sliding scale of intensity. This photo is Alderford lake, a water sports and aqua park, with the Monet Waterlily effect.

A blue Himalayan poppy and Penmon lighthouse off the coast of  Anglesey both using the Surrealism effect.

Brinkburn Priory, a former monastery, situated by the river Coquet in Northumberland, with the Expressionism effect.

This robin was in the cherry tree just outside the window so I was close enough to get a good shot. I used the Sketch effect

This ship paid several visits to Llandudno Bay, and a view in Snowdonia, both with the Rust effect.

The ruins of Whitby Abbey as a pencil drawing. Famous for its connection to Bram Stoker, the abbey started life as a 7th century Christian Monastery and later became a Benedictine Abbey.

Cragside, a Victorian National Trust property in Northumberland was used as the location for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and was the home of a Victorian inventor, Lord Armstrong.

  1. Like the Monet water lily effect. I’ve never heard of Fotor. I use Adobe photoshop. I suppose they’re all the same. Though I haven’t used the app to its full potential, just the basics.

  2. I love Whitby and the abbey lends itself to all sorts of artistic inspiration, digital and otherwise. I have only bee to Cragside once, but it is a fascinating place. It is such fun playing with these effects, though I haven’t had a go myself!

  3. Such a beautiful blue on the Himalayan poppy. Most of the effects are quite subtle and all the better for it. That little robin is so perky! It always amazes me how robins manage on such thin little legs. They’re so tiny and hold up such a fluffy little body.

    1. Yes, I like that they can be subtle or a little more vibrant. There’s quite a range. It’s a wonder to me too how little birds manage on their legs, they don’t look strong enough to support them at all.

  5. Your edits are so fun and enchanting. I love the etched bird. That’s so sweet. I’ve always been drawn to watercolors so all of your edits are eye-catching. When playing with filters starting off with spectacular photos is important, your gift of composition leads to attractive results either way! Well done!
